6 Month Wellness Visit

Last week (7/12) Timothy had his 6 month appointment and all went well. There was a bit of a rough start to the appointment because upon arrival I realized that Timothy probably needed changing. He ended up leaking in his car seat and on Dad while waiting to get to a room to change him. Then on top of that I forgot to give him his preshot Tylenol. So we had to track down a nurse who clearly thought I was a bad Mom for not remembering (as did I). But after that things seemed to be on the up and up. Mark and I made our guesses at his weight and we were both at least 1/2 pound over. Oops. We have a little guy! Here are his stats:

Weight - 15 lbs 9.5 oz - 10%
Height - 26 inches - 25%
Head - 17 inches - 25%

After 4 shots and one oral vaccination we were done with the appointment. I look forward to the 9 month check up when he only has one shot!

Checking out his paci cap while waiting for the doctor/ nurse practitioner.

Crowded Bed

I just love this photo. The other night there were bad storms so we let the dogs come sleep in our bed rather than listen to them bang on the door all night. Then in the morning I decided to bring Timothy in as well. Everyone slept for another hour or so, including Annie (not pictured).

Found It

Timothy recently found his tongue and wanted to show it off to everyone. He also had his 6 month doctor's appointment yesterday. Those pictures, however, are on a different camera so that post will have to wait. Apologies to those of you who I already texted this picture to. I hate to be redundant with the texts and blog posts but some of the photos are too cute not to share with everyone. Yes, yes -- I know I am extremely biased!

Best Work Day Ever

I had the best day at work the other day because Timothy and Mark came for a visit. It was a very short visit but it made my day nonetheless. He was, of course, a hit -- everyone loved him and he generously gave out lots of smiles!

Looks like he fits in...no?

A few kisses for my baby.

Wish he could brighten my day at work everyday!

Where has the time gone?

Time sure flies when you're having fun.

Happy Half-Year

6 things about Timothy at 6 months (totally stealing this from other bloggers)

1. Very happy baby -- always quick to smile! Has pretty much been like this from the beginning.
2. Loves looking in the mirror -- and who wouldn't if you had that cute little face looking back at ya!
3. Definitely NOT sleeping through the night. Has improved over the last 3 weeks so now only wakes up twice. Likes to sleep on his side or belly, child's pose as well with his little tushie in the air!
4. Pretty good at sitting up. Can go several minutes by himself but just to be safe we like to have a boppy behind him or some type of supervision.
5. Working on rolling over. Currently only goes from back to belly. At night he sometimes gets stuck on his belly and scoots around his crib so he's out of view of the monitor.
6. Has 2 teeth and lots of hair. Two bottom teeth came in days after his 4 month birthday. We are resisting cutting his hair --- it seems to be part of his personality and always makes for several good photos.

Dress Like a Cowboy Day

Timothy has had dress like a cowboy day twice at school. And I must say that Mark and I have been very proud of ourselves for actually having something for him to wear. To be honest, Mark is the one who remembered these cowboy outfits so he should get the props. Check out Timmy as a "cowboy."

First dress like a cowboy day -- Serious cowboy.

Second dress like a cowboy day (his shirt says "little cowboy") - Happy cowboy

Like Mother Like Son

Looks like we might have another gymnast in the family.

Fun at Crump Park

Sorry for the delayed posts, as Sarah said we have been swmaped at work. About a month ago Maddie came for a visit and we all headed to Crump Park for some fun and exercise. We got to check out all sorts of farm animals, including sheep, hogs, horses, moo cows, chickens and turkeys. Timothy and Maddie really enjoyed the animals. We also got to spend some time playing on the jungle gym.
